In addition to capturing logic signals, many logic analysers also offer a range of protocol decoding functions.  These typically include:

You need to bear in mind that the decodes are simply a display of data packets with minimal or no filtering or capture analysis.  If you need to capture and filter a large amount of data to track down rare or intermittent conditions, you should choose a dedicated Protocol Analyser.
