The ADC PROTO Board is used to convert analogue voltage signals into digital voltage signals in 12-bit resolution. The board includes an MCP3204 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) that combines low power consumption and high performance into a small package. Featuring a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture, the MCP3204 module uses an industry-standard SPI serial interface to send the converted voltage signal to the host microcontroller. Furthermore, it features up to 100K samples per second and four single-ended input channels. The ADC PROTO Board is small in size and comes equipped with screw terminals to facilitate easy connections. It is designed to operate using a 5V power supply only. When using it with 3.3V systems, it is advisable to use voltage translators on communication lines.

The ADC PROTO Board is an ideal choice for a variety of applications, which include instrumentation, industrial PCs, motor control, robotics, data acquisition, measurement, industrial automation, smart sensors, multi-channel data loggers, and so on.
