True Interactive Real-Time Performance
The Beagle™USB 5000 v2 Ultimate is a great analyser tool that non-intrusively monitors the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 and allows you to interact and analyse the data as and when it is captured on the bus. You do not have to wait for the data to be downloaded and parsed, just connect Beagle™ to the USB port of your computer and see the data transfer immediately.
Fast Data Analysis
Filter and quickly search for data of interest while the capture is still running. Utilize the real-time statistics function of the Data Center Software to view packets and errors on the bus.
Event-based Triggering
The Beagle™USB 5000 v2 allows you to create flexible, state-based event triggers with a maximum of 8 independent states and 6 matches for each state for USB 2.0 captures. Match/Action triggering and filtering function allow you to trigger the capture, filter data, or set external triggers by matching data patterns, packet types, error types, and more.
Unlimited Capture Sizes
Although the on-board buffer memory of 2GB of allows you to store a lot of data on the analyser, the actual amount of data that you can capture depends on the buffer of computer under analysis. As USB traffic is transmitted in bursts, the Beagle™ analyser easily catches up with USB traffic and frees the buffer memory for capturing more analysis data.
Multi-Analyser Functionality
Some applications require multiple analysers for monitoring the data transfer across the system. For such cases you can simply take advantage of the advanced sync feature and create a multi-analyser scenario to measure the latency across the system with utmost precision, which was reviously impossible to attain.
Real-Time USB Class-level Decoding with the Data Center Software
This analyser comes with a Data Center Software that allows you to analyse data in real-time, while the capture is still running. This software also provides Class-level data decoding that makes understanding the USB data easier. Although the Data Center Software supports a number of USB classes, if you are using a class that is not specified in the list, you can save the USB configuration and apply decoding after capturing the data completely. The Data Center Software also allows you to easily share the data you captured with your colleagues all over the world.
How the Beagle 5000 USB Analyzer Monitors Low-Level Events
The Beagle USB 5000 v2 standard analyzer can capture, decode, and debug low-level bus events and errors, as well as high-traffic data.

What makes the Beagle USB 5000's Data Center software superior to competitor analysis packages?
The Data Center software provides true real-time analysis with LiveDisplay technology, eliminating the wait times associated with traditional post-capture analysis tools. Unlike competitor software that often requires expensive add-on licences for class-level decoding, the Data Center includes comprehensive USB class decoders for Audio, CDC, DFU, HID, Hub, Mass Storage, UAS, and Video at no additional cost. The software's modern 64-bit architecture with multi-core processor support enables efficient handling of large captures whilst maintaining responsive performance.
-
How does the LiveFilter and LiveSearch functionality improve debugging efficiency?
The LiveFilter feature allows real-time filtering of captured data by endpoints, device addresses, packet types, data patterns, and error conditions without stopping the capture. LiveSearch enables instant location of specific hexadecimal patterns, ASCII text, or protocol events within millions of captured records. These tools dramatically reduce analysis time by highlighting relevant data whilst maintaining complete capture history for context analysis.
-
What are the practical benefits of the Beagle USB 5000's Unlimited capture size capability?
The 4GB on-board buffer combined with continuous streaming to the analysis PC enables captures exceeding 25GB whilst maintaining real-time performance. This capability is crucial for long-term protocol compliance testing, intermittent error detection, and system characterisation over extended periods. The analyser intelligently manages buffer space by streaming data during USB traffic bursts, ensuring no data loss even during sustained high-speed transfers.
-
How does the multi-analyser synchronisation feature enhance system-level debugging?
The multi-analyser synchronisation capability enables precise latency measurements across complex USB systems by coordinating multiple Beagle analysers. Engineers can monitor USB traffic at different points in a system simultaneously with nanosecond-level time correlation, making it possible to track data flow through USB hubs, bridges, or multi-port devices. This system-level visibility is essential for identifying bottlenecks and timing issues in sophisticated USB architectures.
-
What low-level USB protocol analysis capabilities does the Beagle USB 5000 provide?
The analyser captures critical low-level events including USB 3.0 link training sequences, LTSSM (Link Training and Status State Machine) transitions, LFPS polling, and USB 2.0 chirp patterns. It automatically handles data scrambling, spread spectrum clocking, polarity inversion, and receiver detection whilst detecting protocol violations such as invalid PIDs, CRC errors, timeout conditions, and frame sequence errors. The LTSSM graphical view provides real-time visualisation of USB 3.0 power state transitions.
-
How does the Beagle USB 5000's cross-platform support benefit development teams?
