Light Click Board
Light Click Board
Overview
With the Light Click Board™, Mikroelektronika introduces a compact and easy solution to add light measurement to your design. Carrying a PD15-22CTR8 PIN photodiode, this measurement add-on board lets the user effectively measure ambient light intensity and provides a signal (analogue or digital) to the target board microcontroller.
Moulded in water clear plastic with depictive silkscreen markings, PD1522CTR8 is a high photosensitivity PIN photodiode that is ideal for high-speed photodetector, copier, game machine, etc.
The Light Click Board™ also includes MAX6106 voltage reference and MCP3201 ADC with SPI communication interface. Light Click Board™ communicates with the mainboard MCU through SPI (MISO, SCK, CS) and AN lines. It is designed to use either a 3.3V or 5V power supply.
The Light Click Board™ is the add-on board with PD15-22CTR8 PIN photodiode, providing an effective and easy way to measure ambient light intensity. It also features MAX6106 voltage reference and MCP3201 ADC with SPI interface. Measured ambient light intensity is sent as an analog or digital signal to the main board microcontroller.
The Light Click Board™ communicates through mikroBUS™ SPI (MISO, SCK, CS) and AN lines. PD15-22C-TR8 is a high photosensitive light sensor with fast response time. Provided SMD jumper allow the user to select whether the board will be powered with 3.3V or 5V power supply.
IC/module: PD15-22CTR8 PIN Photodiode
Offered in a compact flat top view lens SMD package, PD15-22CTR8 is a silicon PIN photodiode with high speed and high photo sensitivity features. It is spectrally matched to visible and infrared emitting diode and finds application in copier and game machine, high speed photo detector, and many more.
SMD Jumpers
Light Click Board™ features two jumpers, namely, J1 and J2. It communicates to the target MCU via SPI interface (ADC) or directly through the AN pin depending on the position of the J2 jumper. The zero-ohm J1 jumper allows user to switch between 3.3V or 5V power supply. 3.3V is used by default.
