Overview
La carte Click Board™ Thermo 26 est une carte complémentaire compacte qui mesure la température avec précision. Cette carte est équipée du STS31-DIS, un capteur de température numérique haute précision de Sensirion. Caractérisé par sa grande précision (jusqu'à ±0,2°C en moyenne) et sa haute résolution de 0,01°C, le STS31-DIS fournit des données de température au contrôleur hôte avec une interface I2C configurable. How Does The Thermo 26 Click Board™ Work?
The Thermo 26 Click Board™ is based on the STS31-DIS, a digital temperature sensor from Sensirion with increased intelligence, reliability, NIST traceability, and improved accuracy specifications utilizing the industry-proven CMOSens® Technology. It integrates a digital temperature sensor with a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a data processing circuit, and serial interface logic functions in one package. The voltage is digitized and converted to a 16-bit temperature result in degrees Celsius, with a resolution of 0.01°C.
The STS31-DIS temperature sensor gives a fully calibrated, linearized, and supply-voltage-compensated digital output with outstanding accuracy of up to ±0.2°C typical over a temperature range of 0°C to 90°C.
The Thermo 26 Click Board™ communicates with MCU using the standard I2C 2-Wire interface to read data and configure settings, supporting Fast Mode Plus up to 1MHz. Besides, the STS31-DIS allows choosing the least significant bit (LSB) of its I2C slave address using the SMD jumper labelled ADDR SEL. It also possesses an additional interrupt alert signal, routed on the INT pin of the mikroBUS™ socket labelled as ALT, indicating when a specific interrupt event occurs that depends on the value of the temperature reading relative to programmable limits and general reset function routed on the RST pin of the mikroBUS™ socket.
The Thermo 26 Click Board™ can operate with both 3.3V and 5V logic voltage levels selected via the VCC SEL jumper. This way, it is allowed for both 3.3V and 5V capable MCUs to use the communication lines properly. However, the Click board™ comes equipped with a library containing easy-to-use functions and an example code that can be used, as a reference, for further development.
