Overview
Le Barometer 7 Click Board™ est une carte complémentaire compacte utilisée pour mesurer la pression atmosphérique dans un environnement spécifique. Cette carte est équipée du KP264XTMA1, un capteur de pression atmosphérique barométrique numérique de haute précision basé sur un principe capacitif d'Infineon Technologies. Le KP264XTMA1 est micro-usiné en surface avec un circuit de conditionnement de signal intégré monolithique implémenté dans la technologie BiCMOS qui convertit la pression en une valeur numérique de 10 bits et envoie les informations via l'interface SPI. Il mesure la pression de 40 kPa à 115 kPa avec une précision de ±1,5 kPa sur une large plage de températures de fonctionnement.

How Does The Barometer 7 Click Board™ Work?
The Barometer 7 Click Board™ as its foundation uses the KP264XTMA1, a high-accuracy digital barometric air pressure sensor from Infineon Technologies, to measure air pressure in a specific environment. The sensor is individually calibrated and temperature compensated, reducing software complexity by directly reading pressure and temperature. The KP264XTMA1 provides a fast startup time of less than 10ms, measures pressure in a range from 40kPa up to 115kPa with an accuracy of ±1.5kPa, ideally suited to the harsh environmental conditions prevalent in industrial and consumer applications.
The Barometer 7 Click Board™ communicates with MCU through a standard SPI interface that enables high clock speeds up to 5MHz. The KP264XTMA1 converts pressure into a 10-bit digital value and sends the information via the SPI interface. In addition, a temperature sensor is also integrated into this chip. The 10-bit temperature information will also be transmitted via the SPI interface based on the received SPI command.
The KP264XTMA1 is fully calibrated and has a linear transfer function between the applied pressure and the digital output signal. Its unique reliability feature is the integrated diagnostic mode, which tests the sensor cells and the signal path, triggered with an SPI command.
The Barometer 7 Click Board™ can operate with both 3.3V and 5V logic voltage levels selected via the VCC SEL jumper. This way, it is allowed for both 3.3V and 5V capable MCUs to use the communication lines properly. However, the Click board™ comes equipped with a library that contains easy-to-use functions and an example code that can be used, as a reference, for further development.
