La RTC 4 Click Board™ est une carte complémentaire de mesure du temps qui intègre le circuit intégré DS2417. Le DS2417 est une horloge/calendrier en temps réel (RTC) avec une interface MicroLAN 1-Wire entièrement compatible. Il dispose également d'une sortie d'interruption programmable pour le réveil du système sur une broche séparée. Il utilise un oscillateur intégré qui est connecté à un cristal externe de 32,768 kHz. En tant que périphérique 1-Wire, il dispose d'un code ROM unique de 64 bits gravé au laser en usine qui permet à l'utilisateur de l'utiliser dans un réseau MicroLAN.
Il utilise une source d'énergie de secours qui maintient la charge grâce à un supercondensateur intégré de type pile bouton 1F. L'horloge en temps réel a une précision de +/- 2 minutes par mois à 25°C.
La RTC4 Click Board™ communique avec la carte cible MCU via la broche MikroBUS AN ou PWM (ici, GPI01, GPIO0), plus la broche INT, selon la position du cavalier intégré.
The RTC 4 Click Board™ is based on the DS2417, a real time clock/calendar with a 1-Wire MicroLAN interface and a programmable interrupt for system output. The clock frequency is derived from an onboard 32.768KHz oscillator. An integrated backup energy source maintains a charge with an onboard coin cell supercapacitor. The clock has an accuracy of +/-2 minutes per month at a 25 degrees Celsius temperature. Depending on the position of the onboard jumper, the RTC 4 Click Board™ communicates with the target board MCU either through mikroBUS AN or PWM pin (here, GPI01, GPIO0), plus the INT pin. The board is designed to use either a 3.3V or 5V power supply.
IC/Module: DS2417
DS2417 is a time chip featuring a unique 64-bit lasered ROM and a real-time clock/calendar. It would make a great choice for any electronic appliance or embedded application using a microcontroller to add functions such as calendar, time and date stamp, and logbook. This compact, low-cost DS2417 package uses a 1-Wire interface for communication with the target board. It also has a programmable interrupt for system wakeup.
1F Supercapacitor
RTC4 Click Board™ includes a coin cell 1F supercapacitor that blends in with your design and enable the Click Board™ to do its work for a long time. On the Click Board™, the DS2417 IC is placed under the supercapacitor.
1-Wire Interface (Selectable Pins)
In RTC4 Click Board™, DS2417 acts as a slave device and communicates with the master MCU through a 1-Wire bus. With its 64-bit registration number, RTC4 Click Board™ can function within a MicroLAN network, i.e, a network of 1-Wire devices that are all associated with a master device.
