Overview
The Rotary G Click Board™ from MikroE features a 15-pulse incremental rotary encoder with detents, which is surrounded by a ring of 16 green LEDs. If the user wants to implement a precision input knob into the design, such a rotary Click Board™ will be a perfect solution. Every single rotation is divided into 15 discrete steps. The encoder output has A and B signals (out of phase to each other). The knob also works as a push-button to send an interrupt to the target board MCU. The 16 LED ring is controlled via SPI communication interface.
The Rotary G Click Board™ can be used with either a 3.3V or 5V power supply. Such a Click Board™ would be useful in controlling audio/video equipment and other similar electrical devices.

Le Rotary G Click Board™ de MikroE est doté d'un encodeur rotatif incrémental à 15 impulsions avec crans, entouré d'un anneau de 16 LED vertes. Si l'utilisateur souhaite intégrer un bouton d'entrée de précision dans la conception, un tel Click Board™ rotatif sera une solution parfaite. Chaque rotation est divisée en 15 étapes discrètes. La sortie de l'encodeur comporte des signaux A et B (déphasés l'un par rapport à l'autre). Le bouton fonctionne également comme un bouton-poussoir pour envoyer une interruption au MCU de la carte cible. L'anneau de 16 LED est contrôlé via une interface de communication SPI.
Le Rotary G Click Board™ peut être utilisé avec une alimentation 3,3 V ou 5 V. Un tel Click Board™ serait utile pour contrôler des équipements audio/vidéo et d'autres appareils électriques similaires.
