Overview

The SPECTRAN V6 RSA250X is one of Aaronia's latest high-performance real-time spectrum analyzers. The SPECTRAN V6 RSA250X comes with 300/440 GHz/s sweep speed. Any number of devices can be cascaded to achieve an even higher real-time bandwidth. Thus, using only four SPECTRAN V6 instruments, real-time bandwidth of 480MHz can be achieved.

The included software RTSA-Suite PRO is tailored to powerful and robust hardware and supports multiple SPECTRAN V6. The stackable aluminium housing facilitates the parallel use of several units.

Housing
The high-quality black anodized housing is machined from a solid aluminium block. Thus the SPECTRAN® V6 X achieves an optimal shielding and cooling for the internal components. At the same time, the housing construction ensures maximum robustness. The integrated fan is speed- and temperature-controlled and thus generates only minimal noise.

USB
Depending on the version, the SPECTRAN® V6 X has one or two USB 3.0 ports for data transfer. A further USB port can optionally be used as power supply. A 26,800 mAh power pack with the same form factor is available separately and allows operation without the strain on the laptop battery.

Options / Extensions
- Frequency extension 6 ‐ 8 GHz for WiFi 6E
- OCXO time base - 5 ppb with extremely high shock and vibration resistance (±0.1 ppb/g)

  • What Is the Real-Time Bandwidth of the SPECTRAN V6 PLUS 250XA-6?

The base model has 80MHz real-time bandwidth, with an optional upgrade to 120MHz for wideband signal analysis.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Can I Extend the Frequency Range Beyond 6GHz?

Yes. Aaronia's frequency extension option (sold as the 8 GHz extension for WiFi 6E) raises the specified range to 7.2 GHz, covering the WiFi 6E band.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • How Does the Sweep Speed Compare to Traditional Spectrum Analysers?

Sweep speed is 300 GHz/s, or 440 GHz/s with the upgrade, and a full 6 GHz scan takes about 20 ms. Aaronia describes the V6 PLUS as the world's fastest USB spectrum analyser.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • What Software Is Included with the Analyser?

RTSA-Suite PRO is included. It uses a modular block layout (some blocks need licence keys), records long I/Q captures and has full MATLAB support.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Can Multiple Units Be Used Together for Increased Bandwidth?

Yes. Several SPECTRAN V6 PLUS units can be stitched together with Aaronia's 4-way or 6-way splitter/combiner to extend real-time bandwidth. Aaronia does not specify a combined bandwidth figure.
