For DMX, the Commissioner Multi runs a double-ended continuity test of the three DMX conductors (XLR pins 1, 2 and 3) and finds open circuits, swapped data lines and a broken screen; a single-ended test also reports low impedance between the data lines. For DALI, it checks for bus power and shorted cables.

Is the Commissioner Multi Compatible with Art-Net and sACN Systems?
No. The Commissioner Multi works at the physical protocol level (DMX512/RDM/DALI) and doesn't interface directly with network protocols like Art-Net or sACN. For network-based testing, pair it with suitable gateways or use network-specific diagnostic tools.
