Der 3-adrige PT100-Temperaturfühler ist ein RTD-Platinfühlertyp zum Messen von Temperaturen bis zu 250 °C. Dieser Fühlertyp kann mit RTD Click Board™ verwendet werden.
RTD-Sensoren sind im Grunde thermosensitive Widerstände, deren Material sich je nach Temperatur ändert. In diesem Fall ist der Widerstand ein kleiner Platinstreifen mit einem Widerstand von 100' bei 0°C - daher auch die Bezeichnung PT100.
The PT100 3-wire Temperature Probe is a type of RTD platinum probe used to measure temperatures up to 250°C. This type of probe can be used with RTD Click Board™.
RTD sensors are basically thermosensitive resistive materials that change the resistance depending on their temperature. In this case, the resistor is a small strip of platinum with a resistance of 100 at 0°C - that is why it is called PT100.

Why use an RTD type of Sensor?

For many years, these type of sensors have been used in industrial and laboratory conditions since they are considered to be more accurate and stable than most NTC/PTC thermistors. Also, platinum is an excellent choice since they are very stable and reusable, and are resistant to corrosion or oxidation.
