Overview
The Expand 8 Click Board™ is a compact add-on board that contains a multi-port I/O expander with bi-directional input/outputs. This board features the MAX7317, 10-Port SPI-interfaced I/O expander with overvoltage and hot-insertion protection from Maxim Integrated. The MAX7317 provides microprocessors with 10 I/O ports rated to 7V. Each port can be individually configured as either an open-drain output or an overvoltage-protected Schmitt input that supports hot insertion. All port pins remain high impedance in Power-Down mode with up to 8V asserted on them. This Click Board™ is intended for use as a port expander in system monitoring applications, industrial controllers, portable equipment, and many more.
Expand 8 Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click Board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
Der Expand 8 Click Board™ ist eine kompakte Zusatzplatine, die einen Multi-Port-E/A-Expander mit bidirektionalen Ein-/Ausgängen enthält. Diese Platine verfügt über den MAX7317, einen 10-Port-E/A-Expander mit SPI-Schnittstelle und Überspannungs- und Hot-Insert-Schutz von Maxim Integrated. Der MAX7317 bietet Mikroprozessoren mit 10 E/A-Ports mit einer Nennspannung von 7 V. Jeder Port kann einzeln entweder als Open-Drain-Ausgang oder als überspannungsgeschützter Schmitt-Eingang konfiguriert werden, der Hot Insertion unterstützt. Alle Port-Pins bleiben im Power-Down-Modus hochohmig, wobei bis zu 8 V an ihnen anliegen. Dieses Click Board™ ist für den Einsatz als Port-Expander in Systemüberwachungsanwendungen, Industriesteuerungen, tragbaren Geräten und vielem mehr vorgesehen.
Erweitern 8 Klicken wird durch eine mikroSDK-kompatible Bibliothek unterstützt, die Funktionen enthält, die die Softwareentwicklung vereinfachen. Dieses Click Board™ wird als vollständig getestetes Produkt geliefert und ist bereit für den Einsatz auf einem System, das mit der mikroBUS™-Buchse ausgestattet ist.
