Overview
The SPECTRAN V6 RSA250X is one of Aaronia's latest high-performance real-time spectrum analyzers. The SPECTRAN V6 RSA250X comes with 300/440 GHz/s sweep speed. Any number of devices can be cascaded to achieve an even higher real-time bandwidth. Thus, using only four SPECTRAN V6 instruments, real-time bandwidth of 480MHz can be achieved.
The included software RTSA-Suite PRO is tailored to powerful and robust hardware and supports multiple SPECTRAN V6. The stackable aluminium housing facilitates the parallel use of several units.

Questions and Answers
-
What Is the Minimum Detectable Signal Level?
Aaronia quotes a DANL of -165 dBm/Hz for the 250XA-6. The optional internal preamplifier adds 20 dB of gain; with it, Aaronia gives typically -170 dBm/Hz for the V6 PLUS family.
-
Is the Analyser Suitable for EMC Pre-Compliance Testing?
Yes. Aaronia lists EMC testing and interference hunting among its applications, and the fast sweep and wide real-time bandwidth suit emissions pre-compliance checks.
-
What Power Options Are Available?
The analyser can be powered via USB-C PD 3.0 or through the included external power supply, with typical consumption of 15W.
-
How Portable Is the SPECTRAN V6 PLUS 250XA-6?
It weighs 850g and measures 210×115×30mm, so it suits field measurements as well as lab use.
-
What RF Connector Types Are Used?
The 250XA-6 has one 50 Ω SMA RF input, plus USB-C for data and USB-C for power.
-
What Is the Real-Time Bandwidth of the SPECTRAN V6 PLUS 250XA-6?
The base model has 80MHz real-time bandwidth, with an optional upgrade to 120MHz for wideband signal analysis.
-
Can I Extend the Frequency Range Beyond 6GHz?
Yes. Aaronia's frequency extension option (sold as the 8 GHz extension for WiFi 6E) raises the specified range to 7.2 GHz, covering the WiFi 6E band.
-
How Does the Sweep Speed Compare to Traditional Spectrum Analysers?
Sweep speed is 300 GHz/s, or 440 GHz/s with the upgrade, and a full 6 GHz scan takes about 20 ms. Aaronia describes the V6 PLUS as the world's fastest USB spectrum analyser.
-
What Software Is Included with the Analyser?
RTSA-Suite PRO is included. It uses a modular block layout (some blocks need licence keys), records long I/Q captures and has full MATLAB support.
-
Can Multiple Units Be Used Together for Increased Bandwidth?
Yes. Several SPECTRAN V6 PLUS units can be stitched together with Aaronia's 4-way or 6-way splitter/combiner to extend real-time bandwidth. Aaronia does not specify a combined bandwidth figure.
