Overview
The EEPROM Click Board™ from MikroE is an add-on storage board that includes a 24C08WP serial EEPROM with 8 Kbits of memory. Driven by CMOS technology, this Click Board™ enables the user to add more 8 Kbit EEPROM memory to the device. An ideal choice for low power and low voltage applications, the 24C08WP module is compatible with the I2C memory standard and uses a bi-directional data bus and serial clock. It is available in DIP packaging. The DIP socket makes EEPROM easily replaceable. EEPROM Click Board™ works well with both the 100 kHz I2C standard mode and the 400 kHz I2C fast mode. The board is designed to operate on a 3.3V or 5V power supply, selectable by an SMD jumper. Another set of SMD jumpers that allow address selection is also available on the board. The green LED diode denotes the status of the power supply.

IC/Module: 24C08WP serial 8 Kbit EEPROM
Available in DIP packaging, 24C08WP is a high performance, CMOS technology based electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM) module. It operates on two wire I2C serial interface. Highly reliable, 24C08WP features has write control input, byte or page write (up to 16 bytes), random and sequential read modes and automatic address incrementing.
SMD Jumpers
The EEPROM Click Board™ features three (J2, J3, J4) SMD jumpers that allows user to allocate the unique 3-bit chip enable address (A0, A1, A2) to each DIP EEPROM memory. It has a limited number of EEPROMs the user can connect to the same I2C bus depending on the memory capacity (example, 1x16Kbit, 2x8Kbit, 4x4Kbit,.
8x2Kbit or 8x1Kbit). On the other hand, SMD Jumper J1 allows user to choose between 3.3V or 5V power supply.
