Overview

The Testec TT-HV 400 is a high-voltage passive oscilloscope probe designed for demanding electronic measurement applications. Part of the TT-HV series, which includes the TT-HV 200 (2kV rating), this probe combines a 300 MHz bandwidth with a 100:1 attenuation ratio, enabling accurate signal capture in high-voltage environments such as power electronics, industrial automation, and renewable energy systems.

With a maximum input rating of 4kV (DC + peak AC) and compliance with IEC 61010-031 safety standards, the TT-HV 400 ensures reliable performance in CAT II environments up to 1000Vrms. Its 100 MΩ input impedance and 5 pF capacitance minimise circuit loading, while the 1.2 ns rise time preserves waveform integrity for high-frequency analysis. The probe features an adjustable compensation range (8–25 pF) to match oscilloscope inputs and includes a 1.2-metre shielded cable with BNC connectivity.

Engineers will appreciate its ergonomic design, Pollution Degree 2 compliance for dry/non-conductive environments, and derating curves for frequency-dependent voltage limits. For enhanced safety, the TT-HV 400 exceeds competitors like the Rigol RP1300H (2kV) and Micsig MDP703 (±700V) in voltage handling, making it ideal for applications requiring robust isolation and precision under extreme conditions.
