Pressure 21 Click Board
Pressure 21 Click Board
Key Features:
- Low power consumption, high performance, improved temperature stability, programmable output and noise performance, programmable interrupt, selectable interface, and more
- Based on the BMP581 - digital barometric pressure and temperature sensor from Bosch Sensortec
- Can be used for various pressure-based applications, industrial, consumer, weather stations, and more
- mikroBUS: I2C and SPI Interfaces
The Pressure 21 Click Board™ is a compact add-on board that contains a board-mount pressure sensor. This board features the BMP581, an absolute barometric pressure sensor from Bosch Sensortec. The BMP581 provides a relative accuracy of ±6Pa and typical absolute accuracy of ±30Pa with ultra-low noise, low power consumption, and temperature stability alongside programmable output: temperature-only or both pressure and temperature (pressure-only is not supported). It converts output data into a 24-bit digital value and sends the information via a configurable host interface that supports SPI and I2C serial communications. It measures pressure from 30kPa up to 125kPa over a wide operating temperature range. This Click board™ is suited for various pressure-based applications, industrial, consumer, weather stations, and more.
The Pressure 21 Click Board™ is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a thoroughly tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
Software Support
We provide a library for the Pressure 21 Click Board™ as well as a demo application (example), developed using MikroElektronika compilers. The demo can run on all the main MikroElektronika development boards.
The package can be downloaded/installed directly from NECTO Studio The package Manager (recommended), downloaded from our LibStock™ or found on MikroE Github account.
Library Description
This library contains API for the Pressure 21 Click Board™ driver.
Key functions
-
pressure21_get_int_pin
This function returns the INT pin logic state. -
pressure21_get_sensor_data
This function reads the sensor measurements data: pressure in Pascals and temperature in Celsius. -
pressure21_write_register
This function writes a desired data to the selected register.
Example Description
This example demonstrates the use of the Pressure 21 Click Board™ by reading and displaying the pressure and temperature measurements.
void application_task ( void )
{
if ( pressure21_get_int_pin ( &pressure21 ) )
{
float pressure, temperature;
if ( PRESSURE21_OK == pressure21_get_sensor_data ( &pressure21, &pressure, &temperature ) )
{
log_printf ( &logger, " Pressure: %.2f mBarrn", pressure * PRESSURE21_PA_TO_MBAR );
log_printf ( &logger, " Temperature: %.2f Crnn", temperature );
}
}
}
The full application code, and ready to use projects can be installed directly from NECTO Studio The package Manager (recommended), downloaded from our LibStock™ or found on MikroE Github account.
Other MikroE Libraries used in the example:
- MikroSDK.Board
- MikroSDK.Log
- Click.Pressure21
Additional Notes and Information
Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART Click Board™, USB UART 2 Click or RS232 Click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. UART terminal is available in all MikroElektronika compilers.
MIKROSDK
The Pressure 21 Click Board™ is supported with mikroSDK - MikroElektronika Software Development Kit. To ensure proper operation of mikroSDK compliant Click board™ demo applications, mikroSDK should be downloaded from the LibStock and installed for the compiler you are using.
