IC/Module: MLX90333 Triaxis Hall Sensor
Based on Triaxis Hall technology, the MLX90333 is an absolute 3D position sensor with a simple and robust magnetic design. It is sensitive to the 3 components of the flux density applied to the IC (BX, BY and BZ), which ensures easy sensing of magnet moving in its surrounding.
Integrated Magneto-Concentrator (IMC)
What makes the MLX90333 sensor aboard 3D Hall Click Board™ a better choice over conventional Hall sensor is the inclusion of an Integrated Magneto-Concentrator (IMC) deposited on the CMOS die. While conventional Hall sensors is only sensitive to only to magnetic flux applied orthogonally to the IC surface, this Triaxis Hall sensor is also sensitive to the flux density applied parallel to the IC surface.
Note: Other Hall effect-based sensors available include: LIN HALL Click Board™ (linear Hall effect sensor), UNI HALL Click Board™ (unipolar), and BI-HALL Click Board™ (bipolar).
