Overview

The Acute Technology TravelScope TS3000 Series is a compact, PC-based digital storage oscilloscope designed for engineers who need bench-grade measurements on the move. Via a single USB 3.0 connection, it delivers four analogue channels, 200 MHz bandwidth and up to 1 GS/s real-time sampling. A deep 128 Mpts record length per channel supports long acquisitions without sacrificing resolution.

TS3000 also integrates a 3-digit digital voltmeter and 5-digit frequency counter, plus a data-logger that streams to your PC’s SSD or HDD. For higher channel counts, DSO Stack Mode lets you combine multiple units for time-aligned capture. Developers can automate and integrate measurements using the available SDK.

Series options

Choose from TS3124E, TS3124B, TS3124H and TS3124V. The H/V variants add high-resolution modes, while TS3124V enables protocol trigger/decode and electrical validation for modern power-management buses. Pairing TS3000 with an Acute logic analyser enables mixed-signal (analogue + digital) debug. See the Acute TravelLogic Logic Analyser for a complementary solution.

Why consider TS3000?

It combines portable hardware with deep memory, multi-unit scaling and integrated DVM/counter—ideal for embedded, power and interface debug when a full bench scope is impractical.

Portable Deep-Memory Capture

Laptop-powered four-channel scope with deep 128 Mpts memory captures long events reliably, reducing reruns and accelerating embedded debug workflows significantly.

Scales with Your Project

Stack multiple units for time-aligned acquisition, expanding analogue visibility to sixteen channels while preserving correlations across power, clocks, interfaces simultaneously.

Integration-Ready

Script measurements via SDK for automated tests, protocol validation, and reproducible results integrating easily with CI systems and shared toolchains.

Questions and Answers

10 questions
  • How Does the TS3000 Compare with More Expensive Bench and MSO Systems?

You keep deep memory (up to 512 Mpts on one channel), protocol decoding (TS3124B, H and V) and scripting in a USB-powered unit with no built-in display. It suits work where portability matters more than an integrated screen.

  • What's Included in the Box?

    The box contains:

    • main unit
    • USB 3.0 Y cable (1.8 m) and a USB Type-C OTG adapter
    • four 250 MHz probes
    • stack cables
    • carry bag

PC software is available for download from Acute.

  • Is There an SDK or API for Automation?

Yes. Acute's SDK enables secondary development for automated test and custom tooling, with samples for C, C#, Python and LabVIEW.

  • Which Applications Suit the TS3000 Best?

The TS3000 suits work where portability and long captures are needed:

    • embedded firmware bring-up
    • power-rail checks
    • serial-bus debug
    • educational lab work

  • What Happens When the Acquisition Memory Is Full?

Memory depth is 128 Mpts per channel with four channels enabled, 256 Mpts with two and 512 Mpts with one. In Single mode, acquisition stops after the trigger and the waveform freezes so you can measure and save it. In Normal mode, it re-arms and captures again on the next trigger. In Roll mode, the display keeps running.

To avoid truncation on long runs:

    • enable the Data Logger to stream to your PC's SSD/HDD
    • narrow the timebase
    • reduce the sample rate
    • refine triggers to capture only events of interest
    • disable unused channels to maximise per-channel memory depth

  • What Bandwidth and Sample Rate Does the TS3000 Provide?

200 MHz analogue bandwidth, with up to 1 GS/s real-time sampling on one channel, 500 MS/s on two and 250 MS/s with all four channels active.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Can I Expand Beyond Four Analogue Channels?

Yes, on the TS3124H and TS3124V. DSO Stack Mode combines up to four units for 16 channels. The TS3124E and TS3124B do not stack.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Does It Support Protocol Decoding and Electrical Validation?

Yes. Protocol trigger and decode are available on the TS3124B, H and V. Choose the TS3124V for protocol electrical validation (I2C, I2S, I3C, RFFE, SPMI, PDM, SPI and UART); SVID/SVI3 decode is available on the TS3124V on request, subject to Intel or AMD approval.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Is There a High-Resolution Mode?

Yes. The TS3124H and V add 12, 14, 15 and 16-bit acquisition modes (the E and B are 8-bit) for better vertical detail.

Answered by John LeggUpdated 8 Oct 2026
  • Can It Operate as a Mixed-Signal Oscilloscope (MSO)?

Yes. Stack it with an Acute TravelLogic logic analyser to view time-correlated analogue and digital signals.
