The USB-C Sink 4 Click Board™ is a compact add-on board designed to enable devices to draw power through the USB Type-C interface. Featuring the CYPD3178 USB Type-C power sink controller from Infineon, this board offers a comprehensive solution for powering electronic devices such as drones, smart speakers, and power tools.

The CYPD3178 controller supports power delivery of up to 5V at 3A and complies with the latest USB Type-C specifications. It integrates a full USB Type-C transceiver, load switch control with soft start, and system-level fault protection. The board offers configurable charging protocols, adjustable voltage negotiation, and an unpopulated SAFE 5V header for an alternate power supply.

Compatible with the mikroBUS™ socket, the USB-C Sink 4 Click Board™ can be used on any host system supporting the mikroBUS™ standard. It comes with mikroSDK open-source libraries and features the innovative ClickID for automatic detection and identification by the host system.
