Das mikroMedia™ für PIC32 ist ein kompaktes Entwicklungssystem mit integrierten Peripheriegeräten für die umfassende Multimedia-Entwicklung auf einem 32-Bit-Mikrocontroller PIC32MX460F512L. Es kann sowohl für die Entwicklung als auch als Endprodukt verwendet werden und verfügt über integrierte Module wie Stereo-MP3-Codec, TFT-Touchscreen-Display (320 x 240), Beschleunigungsmesser, USB-Anschluss, Audioanschluss, MMC/SD-Kartensteckplatz, 8-Mbit-Flash-Speicher, 2 x 26 Anschlusspads und viele andere. Die Stereo-MP3-Codecs VS1053 können MP3-/WMA-/AAC-/eAAC+-/Ogg Vorbis-/WAV-Dateien von einer MMC-Karte dekodieren. Der Mikrocontroller ist mit dem schnellen USB-Bootloader vorprogrammiert und benötigt für die Entwicklung keinen externen Programmierer.
Die kompakte Taschengröße macht mikroMedia™ für PIC32 zu einer ausgezeichneten Wahl für mobile Anwendungen. Mit einem einfachen Druck auf die Reset-Taste auf der Platine kann der Benutzer den Schaltkreis zurücksetzen. Es enthält außerdem einen microSD-Kartensteckplatz, um die Verwendung von microSD-Karten in den Projekten zu unterstützen.

The mikroMedia™ for PIC32 features a large TFT 32 x 240 display sheltered in a resistive touch panel. This functional touch screen allows data to enter and provide display at the same time. The current consumption with backlight on is 56.2 mA (backlight consumption is 42 mA). It displays graphics in 262,144 different colours.
PIC32MX460F512L Microcontroller
The mikroMedia™ for PIC32 development system includes high-performance PIC32MX460F512L microcontroller. It comes with integrated modules, and makes a great choice for developing applications with multimedia content when used in combination with other on-board modules. Featuring a 32-bit MIPS M4K core, this microcontroller features an 80 MHz frequency with 512 KB of program memory, 12 K boot flash; 32 K of RAM memory; 85 I/O pins, etc.
Power Supply Options
The mikroMedia™ for PIC32 board can be powered using the provided Mini-B USB cable or using a Li-Polymer battery via the on-board battery connector. When using the Mini-B USB cable, on-board voltage regulators will provide the appropriate voltage levels to each part of the board. An MCP73832 battery charger circuit facilitates user to charge the battery over USB connection.
