Product Description
The Amfeltec SKU-050-02 32-bit PCI Riser is designed to extend the PCI Bus of a motherboard and convert it into dual 32-bit PCI buses. It comes with a PCI Bus Flex adapter board, 32-bit PCI host board and a 304mm (12") PCI Express Flat cable. The PCI host board is connected to the motherboard of the host computer at the standard 32-bit PCI connector. The PCI Flex adapter board is then connected to the host board via a 12" PCI Express Flat cable, and the expansion add-in 32-bit PCI card is then plugged into the standard PCI connector provided on the PCI adapter board.
Mechanical
The flexible nature of the connection allows positioning of the expansion PCI add-in board away from the 32-bit PCI connector on the motherboard inside the computer chassis. The PCI Flex adapter board comes with two mounting holes that aid in easy mounting of the board inside the computer chassis.
Power
32-bit female PCI connectors supply power to the PCI add-in boards (12V, 5V, 3.3V). A standard 4-pin "hard drive" power connector on the adapter board receives power (5V and 12V) from a standard ATX power supply or any other external power source.
Plug n Play
This riser system supports Plug-and-Play feature that allows you to use it right out of the box without installing any dedicated software on the computer system. The 32-bit PCI Host Card features surface-mounted LEDs that display downstream PCI express Link status along with "PRESENT" status of the add-in PCI board.
