IC/Module: NE555 Precision Timer
The NE555 timer is used as a pulse generator coupled with a circular switch and two potentiometers to adjust the frequency in a specified range. This precision timing IC produces highly accurate time delays. In mono-stable or time-delay mode, the timed interval is controlled by a single external resistor and capacitor network, while the frequency and duty cycle can be adjusted individually using two external resistors and a single external capacitor in the a-stable mode of operation.

Frequency Bands
The PULSE Click Board™ has an on-board circular switch that allows the user to select between four frequency bands. It starts from the six-o-clock position and moves counter-clockwise in quarters to select the appropriate position. The 4 frequency band options include: 0) Up to 100 Hz; 1) Up to 1 kHz; 2) Up to 10 kHz; and 3) Up to 100 kHz.
Note: An on-board zero-ohm SMD jumper enables the user to choose between a 3.3V and a 5V power supply source.
