The modPRO MP-62 long life replacement tips are made from pure copper - offering excellent heat conduction. The tips are iron-plated, which makes them a lot more durable than regular copper tips. The tips are also chrome-plated, making them corrosion free.
An efficient heating element is built-in to the tip concentrating the heat as close to the work as possible and thereby extending battery life by avoiding wasted energy. All replacement tips is factory pre-tinned, which improves the performance of the tip. A good long life tip decreases solder joint failure and increases soldering production. Please note: Long life tips should not be filed as this will damage the tip structure.
