High-Performance TDR Measurement Solution

The Picotest P2105A is a versatile 50-ohm, 1-port transmission line 'browser' probe engineered for precision time domain reflectometry (TDR) measurements. This multi-function probe features interchangeable snap-on heads that enable engineers to tackle five critical measurement types: TDR impedance testing, power rail ripple analysis, transient load stepping, near-field measurements, and PDN impedance characterisation.

Available Probe Head Configurations

TDR/Impedance/Ripple Heads: Available in fixed pitches of 20, 31, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100, and 150 mil spacing, plus GSG SMA configuration. Custom pitches available on request.
S10 Load Stepper Head: Provides 0-10A transient load stepping with ~3ns rise/fall time for power supply validation testing.
Near-Field Head: Available in 31 mil and 100 mil H-field loop configurations with 1GHz bandwidth for EMI troubleshooting.

Browser Probe Design

The P2105A's 'browser' designation refers to its ability to quickly move from point-to-point across PCBs without requiring permanent test points or SMA connections. The spring-loaded probe tips ensure reliable contact while the slim, ergonomic design provides excellent visibility and access to dense circuit layouts.
