Ultra-Wideband Log Periodic Antenna for Spectrum Analysis

The Aaronia HyperLOG 6000 Series represents the pinnacle of log periodic antenna technology, offering exceptional performance across an ultra-wide frequency range from 680MHz to 35GHz. Built on an ultra-thin, gold-coated high-tech TEFLON substrate, these antennas deliver unmatched precision for EMC testing, spectrum analysis, and RF signal detection.

Technical Architecture

Log periodic dipole arrays (LPDA) operate on the principle of frequency-dependent resonance. Each dipole element resonates at specific frequencies, with element lengths and spacing following a logarithmic relationship. The design ratio τ (tau) determines the geometric scaling between adjacent elements, typically 0.7 for optimal bandwidth performance.

Active Region Concept: Only a small portion of the antenna structure is electrically active at any given frequency. This "active region" shifts along the antenna as frequency changes, ensuring consistent directional patterns across the entire band.

Model Variants Available

Model Frequency Range Gain (typ.) Antenna Factor Weight
HyperLOG 6080 680MHz - 8GHz 5 dBi 22-44 dB/m 250g
HyperLOG 60100 680MHz - 10GHz 5 dBi 22-46 dB/m 250g
HyperLOG 60180 680MHz - 18GHz 5 dBi 22-50 dB/m 250g

Connection and Setup

The antenna features a precision SMA female connector (18GHz rated) with over-torque protection. For applications requiring N-type connections, adapters are included. The integrated 1/4" tripod mount enables flexible positioning using the included pistol-grip handle with mini-tripod function.

Calibration and Accuracy

Each antenna includes comprehensive calibration data with up to 1,733 calibration points at 10MHz steps (model dependent). This extensive calibration enables precise field strength measurements and ensures compliance with CISPR 16-1, MIL-STD-461, and EN 55011/55022 standards.

Professional Grade: The 0.3dB measurement accuracy across the full frequency range qualifies these antennas as reference standards for EMC test laboratories.
