The Lineeye LE-8500X is a handheld LAN protocol analyser for 10/100/1000BASE-T. It can observe two Ethernet lines concurrently while measuring Power over Ethernet (PoE) on one line, capture traffic to internal storage or USB 3.0 media in PCAP-NG format, and review frames on its colour touchscreen or in Wireshark. Engineers can operate it standalone in the field or tether it to a PC to stream captures for deeper analysis.
Within the same family, the LE-8500XR adds Wi-Fi for PC connections, and the higher-throughput LE-8600X extends analysis to 10 GbE links. For serial-bus work, the LE-8500X-RT variant targets RS-232/422/485 and TTL/CMOS protocols. A replacement battery pack (P-26LW2) is available from Debug Store.
