IC/Module: RN4020 Bluetooth 4.1 module

RN4020 is a high performance, fully qualified Bluetooth Version 4.1 module intended to easily add low power wireless capability to the device. The compact size favours easy integration in size-constrained applications. This surface mount module has complete Bluetooth stack on-board and can be remote controlled by another module over a secure connection.

MLDP Support

The two RN4020 Bluetooth modules, when used in a pair, make a powerful combination due to MLDP support. MLDP enables connecting a pair of BLE2 Clicks easy and quick.

Embedded PCB antenna

The module with an on-board PCB antenna gives you a range of about 30 meters, when tested in closed space. However, it is possible to get a better range depending on the conditions.

Communication Lines

BLE2 Click communicates with the target board MCU through mikroBUS RX, TX and AN (CMD), PWM (CON), and RST (WAKE) lines.
